| In the urban traffic, the traffic arterial assume a lot of traffic load, andguaranteeing the arterial smoothly plays a significant role in Improving trafficconditions.The modern urban intersection signal control theory proves that thecoordination and optimization during the intersection signals makes the traffic flowpass through the intersection in the green light without stopping, forming the "greenwave band"of Two-way road traffic flow,which Will greatly improve the trafficcongestion.However,the timing scheme of two phase given by software couldn’tcoincide with the actual arterial coordination control optimization model,due to noconsideration of the left traffic flow influencing on the platoon dispersion, the trafficvolumes are predicted from upstream to downstream,including part of the left turntraffic flow,not the arriving law of the straight traffic flow,which will inevitablyresults in the great difference between the timing scheme and actual operating results.This paper determines the research content of this paper, based on the summaryof the research fruit about platoon dispersion model and arterial coordination andoptimization model.The field research is done to pingleyuan south intersection inbeijing city by multi-spotphotography.By analysing the platoon dispersioncharacteristics under the influence of the left,the platoon dispersion is divided into twoparts: dispersion by the driving speed and dispersion by left turn vehicles,then a newstraight platoon dispersion model under the influence of the left is established.Meanwhile,the new platoon dispersion model and dispersion coefficient isvalidated.This paper focuses on the platoon dispersion character,and describes agreen ratio optimization method.Among software for traffic simulation VSSIM isused to simulate the arterial coordination control program in considering platoondispersion and not considering platoon dispersion.The simulations indicate the arterialcoordination control program in considering platoon dispersion is better than notconsidering platoon dispersion,and the total delay of arterial line has been reduced by7.2%,while the total stops of arterial line have been reduced by7.6%,which caneffectively coordinates the intersection group. |
