The Characteristics And Cultural Connotations Of Hakka Traditional Architectural Decorations In The South Of Jiang Xi Province

Hakka is a unique ethnic group among the Han nationality in the Central Plains.The three provinces of Jiangxi,Fujian and Guangdong are the core areas of the formation of Hakka ethnic group.The traditional culture of Central Plains was brought to the migration place by the Hakka ancestors,and developed with the local culture,and finally formed a new regional culture.Under the common influence of this culture and the local natural environment and historical evolution,the Hakka ancestors of Gannan created a rich and colorful traditional architectural decoration of Gannan Hakka,which is the carrier of Hakka folk culture and the living space for the study of Hakka culture Fossil.However,the confusion of regional architectural decoration style brought by globalization,the survival crisis of Gannan traditional architecture under the background of urbanization,and the dilemma of no successor under the influence of industrialization make Gannan Hakka traditional architectural decoration culture face a severe situation,so it is urgent to protect and study it.From the perspective of architectural culture and architectural history,this paper analyzes the characteristics and cultural connotation of Gannan Hakka traditional architectural decoration by using the methods of historical literature,field investigation and interview,taking the natural environment,historical evolution and cultural characteristics of Gannan Hakka traditional architectural decoration as the breakthrough point.This paper summarizes the characteristics of Gannan Hakka traditional architectural decoration from three aspects: the characteristics of Gannan Hakka traditional architecture,the style of Gannan Hakka traditional architectural decoration art,the types and techniques of Gannan Hakka traditional architectural decoration.As for the analysis of the cultural connotation of Gannan Hakka traditional architectural decoration,it starts from its expression methods,which are divided into symbolic expression methods and homophonic expression methods.It divides Gannan Hakka traditional architectural decoration themes into seven categories: animal image,plant image,character image,utensil image,text decoration,geometric symbol and plot story,and analyzes these seven categories by means of symbol and homophonic expression methods From the perspective of architectural culture and architectural history,this paper summarizes the typical Hakka culture embodied in the traditional architectural decoration of Gannan Hakka,that is,the auspicious culture of "fortune,wealth,longevity and happiness" and the farming culture of "farming and reading heirs",and analyzes the relationship between the two through the integration of the two in architectural decoration.Finally,from the significance of Gannan Hakka traditional architectural decoration for the inheritance of traditional handicrafts and traditional culture,this paper expounds the necessity of protection and inheritance,and puts forward relevant suggestions for protection and inheritance,in order to provide reference for the protection and utilization of Gannan Hakka traditional architectural decoration cultural heritage,provide reference for the future development of Gannan regional architecture,and enrich the content of research field of Hakka architectural decoration in the south of Jiang Xi province.
