As social concern for environment protection grows, environmental effect of shipping draws more and more attention. Recently, IMO published new rules about oily water discharging. Hence, regeneration of ship related equipment would come soon. Computer technology become more powerful in the shipping field. But the step of computer technology integrating into the shipping delays the development of computer technology, Application and innovation of embedded technique attracts more and more research.According to the shipping pollution protection, ship engine room automation and the new rules of oily water detection and discharge, thesis introduce the research background of the ship oily water discharge detection system. Then the thesis describes component of the whole system and the working process. It analyzes oily water density detection controlling unit working principle and process. Finally, I designed hardware circuit card, all load including chip selecting, electrical connection, programming, net protocol. Thesis suggests ARM core LPC2132chip application in the item, transplantation, management, application of uC/OS-II operating system. Some software such as ADS1.2and Altium Designer used in the item are mentioned too. With the new maritime affairs and the ship equipment working principle, thesis designed a shipping oily water detection system which meet the needs of both the practical device on board and marine engine simulator in lab. From the results of adjustment and design theory, this paper describes the design feasibility is high there is a good practical.
