With the widely application of the technology on the ship, it is urgent to improve the comprehensive quality of the crew on the basis of international convention requirement. As oil-water below the standard pulled into the sea pollutes the marine environment greatly, the artificial operation factors account for a large proportion. So, a set of ship’s bilge simulation system has important significance in improving the crew’s comprehensive quality.On account of the inclined plate oil-water separator internal structure design’s influence on the oil-water separation efficiency based on two phase flow theory, the angle of inclined plate, plate length and plate space is optimized. With the oil water phase in the inclined plate adopted laminar flow model, two-dimensional coordinate system between the inclined plates is established and the trajectory of oil particles between plates is accurately analyzed. The movement of oil particles collided on the plate is studied in-depth. Through the establishment of the traditional oil water gravity separation model and the multi-inclined plate oil water gravity separation model, the relationship between parameters of structure design such as plate length, plate space and temperature is obtained. The relationship between change rate of oil chamber and slope angle and optimal parameters of inclined plate can be calculated. The simulation results show that oil-water separation efficiency of inclined plate oil-water separator on the working condition of optimal parameters is obviously higher than that of traditional oil-water separator. Simulation analysis is carried out on the oil-water coalescence prediction model to predict trend of factors that influencing coalescence efficiency. And selection basis is given on the coalescence device.Mathematical models of bilge water system are established and programmed. Aiming at improving crew’s analysis ability, simulation interface of bilge water system is designed by VC++ in order to simulate real operation control process of oil-water separator, operate bilge water system and set failure of system. The bilge water simulation system is well applied to DMS series marine simulator and intelligent crew examination system. It can really reflect the oil-water separator performance and achieve the objective of training crew’s operation ability and evaluating crew’s comprehensive quality.
