In recent years, China’s new high grade highway asphalt pavement basic areadopted, but common asphalt road surface can’t meet the increasing traffic demand,using modified asphalt can effectively improve the performance of the asphaltpavement and service life. Commonly used modifier is divided into: rubber, rubberclass and of thermoplastic resin class. Among them, the plastic kind of modificationagent although can obviously improve the high temperature performance of asphalt,but its price is high, the recycled polyethylene used for bitumen modification, notonly can make full use of resources, reduce cost, also can solve serious environmentalproblems.In this paper, the different recycled polyethylene of the mixed quantity ofmodified asphalt needle into the degrees, deferred degree, softening point andviscosity, needles into the index the conventional technical performance and dynamicmechanical properties were studied, and the performance of the SBS modified asphaltand comparison, evaluated the performance of modified asphalt recycled polyethyleneand its modification effect.In this paper, the waste polyethylene modified asphalt mixture ratio designmethod are introduced, used in the test graded type is AC-20 C, matrix asphaltmixture ratio of 4.5%.In this paper, the waste PE modified asphalt mixture of performance through thedifferent recycled polyethylene under mixed quantity of Marshall stability test, ruttingtest, retain Marshall test, freeze-thaw splitting test, bending test and ooze water testproved recycled polyethylene in the asphalt mixture increased in the mixture of hightemperature stability, the low temperature resistance and durability.In addition, this paper also recycled polyethylene of modified asphalt mixtureeconomic analysis, recycled polyethylene used as a modifier not only can prolong theservice life of the road, still can reduce cost, reuse, is of great social and economicbenefits.
