Nowadays, due to the energy shortage in China, people are taking differentmeasures to alleviate the energy crisis. Lighting consumes a large proportion of thetotal energy consumption, so we must take all feasible ways to achieve energy savingand environmental protection in the lighting area. In recent years, intelligent lightingshows its unique charm as one of current hot spots in the development of digital wave.Intelligent lighting shows several advantages such as saving energy, making thelighting effect more artistic, meeting the need at different occasions and makinglighting very human.In this paper, the CAN bus is adopted which is one of network systems. As a fieldbus, CAN bus has some superior characteristics such as real-time performance, highreliability and flexibility. The CAN bus controller SJA1000is used in this paperbecause it has been widely applied and has received good reputation. At the same timewhen cooperating with MCU, the SJA1000can realize some expanded functions. Inaddition, When the CAN bus transceiver PCA82C250cooperates with the SJA1000,data transmission in the bus can be realized easily.Choosing suitable lamps for intelligent lighting can improve the efficiency ofresources consumption. In this thesis we choose the OLED lamp as a light sourceaccording to the domestic and international lighting lamps inventions currently. OLEDlighting as a new star in lighting area has the characters of thin and light, goodflexibility, self-luminous surface light source. Besides, its energy saving effect is moreand more high. As a result OLED has the potential to be one of the best solid statelightings.After understanding the principles and protocols of CAN bus as well as OLEDcharacteristics we design an intelligent OLED lighting system basing on the CAN bus.Beside the CAN bus interface, the lighting system also contains a microcontroller, anillumination detection module, an infrared detection module, a constant current source module and an OLED lighting modules section. The STC89C52is being used asMicrocontroller, which can realized the performances the system need. Besides, weuse a digital chip ISL29004with I2C technology as the illumination sensor. Also, theinfrared sensor chip is a cost-effective chip BISS0001, while the TL494is used as theconstant current source. The STC89C52is the core of the controller in the intelligentlighting system, because the constant current source controlled by the STC89C52outputs different current values according to the data it receives, which can control thebrightness of OLED. After the microcontroller transmits the disposed information tothe SJA1000, the data are transmitted to other nodes via the CAN bus transceiverPCA82C250. On the other hand, the SJA1000can receive data from other CAN busnodes by the PCA82C250. Then the data are transmitted to microcontroller,. Thus thecommunication between different nodes is realized.
