Since the industrial revolution in the eighteenth Century, the demand of energy for human development and dependence on it become more serious, but as time goes on, and the material civilization is in stark contrast to fuel (such as petroleum, natural gas, coal and so on) dried up with each passing day. Wind power, which is a kind of clean and renewable green energy, is the useful power supplement, and hydropower and the formation of seasonal complementarity. And it can effectively reduce the dependence on non-renewable energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere, wind power generation not only can save the country a lot of energy, but also bring good economic and social benefits.According to the actual situation of wind energy development in Jiangsu Province, from meteorological disasters effects of wind power development fundamental problems, by analyzing the characteristics of meteorological disasters in Jiangsu Province, Revealed the effect and mechanism of main meteorological disasters in the development of wind.the AHP was used For wind electric field meteorological disaster risk assessment, established the main meteorological disasters on Jiangsu wind farm risk evaluation model, evaluation in each county of Jiangsu province to build wind power sites under comprehensive meteorological disaster risk size, put forward the preventive measures, for the Jiangsu Province wind farm development and management to provide reference. The main results are as follows:(1) The study selected the north of the Yangtze River in Jiangsu area (excluding Jiangpu and Liuhe) spatial distribution of typhoon frequency over the coastal, inland from coastal to the inland, decreased the concentration effect; much more southeast, northwest from southeast to northwest, decreased.In July the strongest tornado activity, which was happended during the afternoon to the evening was most. Jiangsu tornado level uneven distribution along the southeast coast,up to more than40times;West Hongze Lake area less, less than10times. Thunderstorm frequency distribution differences,mid next river areas in Hongze Lake area of thunderstorms and more, reached more than1500times.(2) Combining analytic hierarchy process risk assessment, analysis showed that: Jiangsu province north of the Yangtze River coastal city:Nantong and Yancheng region as the wind meteorological disasters in very high risk zone and high risk area, but also for the coastal city of Lianyungang and the Soviet Union in the region of Taizhou City, Yangzhou City and Northern Jiangsu area of Huaian for the wind farm of meteorological disaster risk area, Suqian and Xuzhou are wind meteorological disasters of low risk area. Based on the above research the article put forward Jiangsu Province meteorological disaster measures wind response.(3) Taking wind farms in Rudong County as a case analysis, showing that,when affected by tropical cyclones,tornadoes impact the event of high winds (wind speed greater than20m/s),will pose a threat to the safe operation of the wind turbine.Other analysis such as the Wind Farm may be subjected to lightning disasters and damage,and puts forward views will help to reduce the risk of lightning damage,to avoid or minimize the losses caused by lightning strikes.
