The design of the modern teaching space is increasingly focused on the use of space, flexibility and adaptability, versatility, modularity, standardization has become the basis of characteristics of the building unit design. With the development of society, the concept of education, teaching forms and methods of teaching are changing,the method of teaching space are also constantly changing, the atmosphere of the teaching which seems to life is a mode to pursue in the teaching.The ninth of Nanjing Forestry University Teaching program is designed for the study, the method which is to the study is that theory with practice. The main theoretical aspects of documentary research is that, systems analysis research method, the practical aspects of field research and practical project design research methods.The purpose of the graduation project is to focus on in the laboratory on the basis of the teaching building design, it studies the basic pattern of the laboratory unit and the layout mode and feasibility combinations, deepen the understanding of the whole architectural design through the study of these areas, and give a basic help to later work.The content and structure of the graduate design thesis:Chapterl is the introduction, is mainly about the source of the subject, the purpose and significance of the graduation project and the research method. Chapter2is mainly about project location, the surrounding environment and current conditions,and introduce some of the features of the project site. Chapter3is a research of the project,which introduce the goal of the design,analysis to the campus which can get the main flow of people to the teaching building,and then to get the concept of the building design. Chapter4is about general layout design, the rational distribution of the general layout is a response to the site, through a number of planning points there will be a range of the building, there are flow line designs for people and cars, and square and landscape planting are design for the building. Chapter5is building design,it introduces the process of the building design, the flow line of the main functional areas.Chapter6is a study to laboratory unit. Chapter7is about the introduction of several research platform and the advantages and disadvantages of their own layout. Chapter8is the design notes of the project, is mainly about design basis and systematic overview of the various aspects of the whole building. Chapter9is technical drawings of the project.The whole thesis contains about12000words,315pictures and charts.
