Centralized Traffic Control(CTC) system is the current command center of railway transportation; it mainly achieves the management for train operation plan and centralized control of signal facilities within a certain railway section. The CTC is an important traffic control and management system that integrated computer technology, network communication technology and automatic control technology. It realized the traffic control commanding of each station by adopting autonomous decentralized principle.Based on the analysis of the principle, structure and function of CTC system, this thesis proposes an extension solution on the regional dispersion structure of CTC system, and confirms the functional demands of this regional dispersion CTC system extension. Besides, it also carries the analytical research on train operation of each station and shunting operation of master station within the specified region.This thesis adopts graph theory to establish station models, including master station and no-side-track secondary station in the specified region, for further study the joints of secondary station. Meanwhile, since train route and shunting route in the master station might conflict in time and space, we obtain the shunting route through route search algorithm in the master station and extract track section as study object. Besides, the basic researches such as judgment and route of joint situation of each track section is finished, verification of route sheet and estimation of finish time of each route. Based on feasibility of split process of shunting operation, shunting route in master station are available for operating by time and section through the regional distributed CTC extension. As a result, shunting efficiency is highly promoted.After analysis of function and reciprocal process of regional distributed CTC extension, this thesis divides simulation system of regional distributed CTC extension into four modules. Each module is analyzed and designed by the four methods in UML which are use case diagram, sequence chart, activity diagram and class diagram. Finally, the simulation regarding regional route control and automatic shunting route within station of the regional distributed CTC extension is carried under the VC++environment to achieve the target.
