Building a new socialist countryside is a long-term historical task of China’s modernization process, including the social, political, economic, energy, and many other issues. At present, China has almost730million population lives in rural areas, it has great significance to improve the construction quality of the living in rural areas and reduce resource and energy consumption and protect the environment. However, the actual survey found that rural residential construction still have a certain degree of blindness, such as energy and resource consumption, law comfort level, and bring negative impact of the deteriorating environment.This paper introduces bioclimatic building design methods and adaptive philosophy, and investigate suitable for the cold climate of the northern rural residential design method to optimize residential construction which based on the mode of production and living in villages of Fuxin, Liaoning Province and Dalian as well as the suitability of energy-saving technologies survey analysis.Eco-climatic building design has roots in local climate and natural environment, which laid the foundation for ecology, comfort, low carbon and energy-saving. This paper from the basic principles of building bio-climatic design and the analysis of Liaoning Province climatic parameters, systematic building response strategies, Systemic proposed building coping strategies and explore the technology strategy and building components which adapt to the characteristics of the climate in the north building; Through in-depth practical research, analyze the evolution of the nearly a hundred years status quo of Liaoning rural housing, and explore the architectural design patterns which can adjust to the local climate and ecological environment.Overall architectural design with eco-climate should control advantageous climate and natural environment,avoid disadvantageous climate by planning and architectural design,and take appropriate technologies and vernacular architectural aesthetics to make indoor thermal environment cool in summer and warm in winter; at the same time architectural layout,spatial form,thermal buffer space,ventilation and windproof, shape selection and energy-saving structure should all follow regional climate.
