The Research Of Airside Resources Demand Analysis Based On TDM Strategy

With the rapid and sustainable development of air transportation industry, more and morepressure is faced by the airports that located in the node of the air and ground transportconversion. Apparently, it is not enough that the airports only relying on extending andbuilding to improve airport capacity to meet the growing aviation demand. How to realize therational allocation of resources under the constraints has aroused much attention.The runway system, gate system and taxiway system capacity was analyzed and theinfluences of various factors was discussed. There were four classifications of factors: airsidecharacter, aircraft fleet mix and size of airline, related regulation and weather condition. Thefactors are interrelated, which determined the airside capacity.The runway and gate as the object of the study was studied. And then, TransportationDemand Management (TDM) was expanded and applied to the airside resources management.Combined the actual condition, Aerodrome Transportation Demand Management (ATDM)was defined. Mechanism of action was analyzed based on the public administration,economic management, the airport operation management regulations and some optimizationtechnology.The thesis focused on the gate assignment problem and runway optimization technology.With the help of optimization theory, the optimization model of runway and arrival/departurefix capacity was established to guarantee the maximum utilization. The constraints, goals andassumed condition of gate assignment problem were analyzed concisely to provide referencesfor the model of gate assignment optimization; meanwhile, the model of runway capacityoptimization was established under the known condition about the airport capacity and thearrival/departure fix capacity to make the flow of the arrival/departure optimization and thequeue shortest. The model was shown by the example results.Through the research and analysis, the technical theory and method of airside resourcesdemand has been tried to establish based on TDM to expand the application filed of TDM.Meanwhile, references have been provided and speeded up to establish the ATDM.
