In recent years, international engineering contracting market of Africa hasrapid development, gradually becoming the world center of economic investment,beyond Asia to become China’s largest international engineering contracting market.A growing number of engineering companies of our country have began to trendAfrican market, however, due to its complex historical reasons and specificpolitical, economic, geographic and resource environment, undertaking engineeringcontracting not only has a huge profit margins, but also many potential risks in theregion. Therefore, contractor project risk management is particularly important.The paper based on engineering comprehensive risk management thinking, combingwith international engineering project contracting in Africa region, analyzed thecontractor’s internal and external risk factors detailed and get an initial list of risks of theinternational sub-project contracting in African. And then design the Africa designsub-project and construction sub-project risk questionnaire. In the design sub-project withLibya and construction sub-project with Equatorial Guinea, using investigation and expertscoring method to identify project risk factors and obtain risk weights; using the fuzzycomprehensive evaluation method to evaluate the size of project risks, then thecorresponding measures have been proposed against the risk factors.
