With the application of the Code of Valuation with Bill Quantity of ConstructionWorks(GB50500-2008), the competition of the building market has become more and morefierce. The contractors have to decrease the bid price to ensure getting the bid, which result inthe low-level of the contractors’profit and even the losses. Besides, many disputes of theengineering settlement also can’t guarantee that the contractor’s obtain their proceeds.Therefore, how to improve the level of the contractors’profit has become a significantproblem.Through researching extensive literature, the existing research points that the firstmarketing and the second marketing is the key to improve the contractor profits. So the papertakes unbalanced bidding of the first marketing and variation, price adjustment and claim ofthe second marketing as research object, discussing the contractor how to establishappropriate unbalanced bidding strategy in order to combined with variation, price adjustmentand claim which will appear in the construction stage and earned income for contractor.Aiming at this issue, the paper takes existing laws and regulations of engineering constructionprojects as the basis, and analyzes the following three aspects according to literature study,site investigation, case study and so on.Firstly, the research combed the opportunity to unbalanced bidding strategy of thecontractor, with reference to the existing the contractor’s basic procedure on bid price. Theresearch identify the unbalanced bidding strategy’s opportunity on the combination ofvariation, price adjustment, claim and establish the unbalanced bidding strategy of realizedearned income, by the factors screening method.Secondly, after consolidating the precautionary measures the employers taken to cope theunbalanced bidding strategy that mentioned in the literature, work out the unbalanced biddingstrategies which could earned income. Analyze the possible risk and the loss of thecontractors when risk occurs, and provide the ways to reduce risk loss by introducing thetheory of risk management.Finally, in view of the above research conclusion, talk about the contractors combiningthe unbalanced bids strategy; variation; price adjustment and claim through the case analysis,so as to achieve the effect of eraning income.Base on the study, the thesis offer the unbalanced bidding strategy combining with thevariation, price adjustment and claim, which offer a pathway of improving the contractors’economic benefit.
