Research On Maintenance Countermeasure For Typical Disease Of Expressway Pavement In Hunan Province

Maintenance decision making is the core issue in maintenance management, andthe key to the maintenance decision-making is how to fully consider the performanceof maintenance countermeasures, the actual road conditions, maintenance funds andother factors to make decisions, so that the pavement will be in a better performancestatus.With the gradual formation of the expressway network, the tasks of expresswaymaintenance become increasingly difficult, it is imperative to establish a scientificand effective decision-making system. This paper is based on the expressways inHunan province.The field investigation, data research, tracking observation, andtheoretical analysis methods were adopted to analyse the typical diseases,maintenance countermeasure, maintenance decision-making technology of theexpressways in Hunan province.Main research achievements are as follows:(1) Through the tracking observation for five years，the typical diseases anddistribution characteristics of asphalt concrete pavement and cement concretepavement of the expressway in Hunan province were summarized，which laid thegroundwork for Maintenance decision making.(2) The typical maintenance countermeasures are summarized from theadvantages and disadvantages, construction techniques and other aspects.Themaintenance countermeasures which is used in Hunan province have been taken thefollow-up observations, the treatment effect of micro-surfacing, ultra-thin wearingsurface, milling overlay are analyzed in this paper.Then the expressway maintenancedecision tree in Hunan province is established.(3) The model of effect-cost-ratio in the life cycle was put forward as anasphalt concrete pavement maintenance decision method, which is on the basis of theperformance and economyof maintenance countermeasures and economy.and presentscomputing methods about the maintenance effect and cost in the life cycle.(4) Cement concrete pavement damage process is divided into four stages,the characteristics and mechanism of typical disease at each stages were summedup,and the Hunan cement concrete pavement slab life formula was established toconsider temperature fatigue stress and load fatigue stress. At the same time twofactors that affect the service life of pavement slab are analyzed. Finally, the key linkof Cement Concrete Pavement maintenance is to take preventive maintenance,specialfocus on controlling cavity beneath slab.
