Subway station is the most important infrastructure for subway system offering passenger service. Especially, transfer station is the intersection and the anchor point of metro network. Subway station is in the key position in subway system, so its operation safety offers important guarantee for the whole system. In order to enhance subway operation safety, it is significant to identify safety risk factors and assess the risk level of subway station effectively. This thesis had carried out some researches as follows.Firstly, the paper analyzed the law of occurred operation accidents. Base on the statistics and contrast between accidents at home and abroad, it brought up the present situation of subway operation safety in our country, classified the accidents according to causes, severity levels and places where they occurred, and then analyzed their characteristics and influences on subway station.Secondly, it researched the mechanism of operation accidents occurred in subway stations. In the view of theory of system security, the paper expounded the influence of all the hazardous factors from personnel, equipments, facilities, environment and management in order to summarize the causes and explore how they cause accidents.Thirdly, it is the key problem to establish the risk assessment index system. Assessment indexes were chosen by summarizing all the safety risk factors, modified through cousulting experts. Finally, the index system was formed with quantitative indexes and qualitative indexes. At last, the comprehensive assessment model based on matter-element theory was established. Quantified formulas were defined for the quantitative indexes. The qualitative indexes achieved their assessing function by subjective account and were given responding scores. By delivering the survey, it determined weights of the assessment indexes using AHP method. The model was used to assess some subway station with the statistics collected. The assessment result verified the feasibility of the assessment index system and the reliability of the assessment model. This research put emphasis on establishing the index system of subway station operation safety risk assessment and offering a comprehensive assessment method. Connecting with subjective and objective assessment, operation safety risk level of subway station can be monitored in the form of quantification. The assessment results, which reflect the hidden dangers of subway station, can offer theory for safety management, and provide a reference for design and planning of stations to be built.
