With the rapid development of CNC technology,numerical control of the stone cutting machine had been a trend for Product upgrades. In order to improve the automation of the stone bridge cutting machine and extend its range of processing,it is raised as an object of study to exploit an open four-axes CNC(computer numerical control) system. In this text,the open CNC system of the stone bridge cutting machine is researched combined with the Motion Control Card and PC. The main research are as follows.Analyse the develop trends of the stone bridge cutting machine at home and broad and introduce its structure and function.Design the overall structure of the open CNC system of the stone bridge cutting machine including its hardware structure and software structure.then, the component and function of the system are also been presented.Introduce the motion controller of GTS series of googol company including the inialization, I/O function and the motion mode of Point as well as how to call function under Interpolation mode.Mainly, it focus on the movement in Tool Tangential Following and the programming methods under the system’s Interpolation mode.According to the feature of cutting-grinding integration and sawing-milling combination, the tool structure and anti-shear conditions. The system’s cutter radius compensation of sawing,milling and grinding is deduced by adoption of C function cutter radius compensation algorithm.additionaly,the entile program of cutter compensation and the cutter compensation program of sawing, milling and grinding are all designed in the text.Automatic processing program of sawing,milling,grinding and sawing-cutting mixed with milling-cutting are developed.Then,the location algorithm and cross angle algorithm in the processing of sawing are also deduced. Furthermore,it elaborates some key techniques in the process of the stone bridge cutting machine including Velocity Look-ahead in milling or grinding, Automatic Tool Changer, New Origin Setting,Back Working Position and so on.On the basis of the above research,the CNC system of the stone bridge cutting machine with better function is finally developed.The results of the test also show that the system can realize automatic processing and it runs accurately and stablely.,meeting the requrments of cutting-grinding integration and sawing-milling combination.
