The harm of the icy winter road is serious, so rapid and environmental remove of ice is a technical and scientific problem needed to be solved urgently. The early de-icing methods consist of mechanical, chemical, and physical energy manners. However, the three kind of de-icing methods have their own shortcomings:ice nuggets residues, road erosion, high energy consumption, high cost and low efficiency. In this study, vapor jet was put forward to remove the ice on the road. The jet with certain temperature, and pressure is injected through several small tiny nozzles to ice-road occupies section, and where the temperature increases rapidly to zero or higher. When melting and pushed by a forklift truck, ice would separate from road quickly.Through the establishment of numerical model of the jet de-icing, fluid-solid interaction characteristics of heat transfer behavior and microstructure change of state in the impingement zone can be studied.Specific work and conclusions are as follows.1The relevant factors affecting the rapid de-icing were analyzed, ambient temperature, jet temperature, pressure, angle, and organizational of jet nozzles were selected to be the five subjects of the de-icing efficiency.2The basic theory of hydrodynamics was introduced and studied, and heat transfer behavior in the de-icing process was analyzed. Based on which, evaluation method of de-icing efficiency suitable for this study was defined.3The heat transfer principle under the action of ambient temperature is studied. It shows that, with the increase of the ambient temperature, de-icing efficiency increases gradually.4The affection of a variety of jet parameters and nozzle structure to de-icing efficiency is studied, and the results show that, with the increase of initial jet pressure, de-icing efficiency will also increase accordingly. However, the de-icing efficiency is not showing a trend of monotonic increase. When the pressure is about12atm, de-icing efficiency and energy consumption has a reasonable ratio; the de-icing efficiency of the slit jet nozzle is slightly higher than the structure of the circular array, but with higher energy consumption. in the case of three different distribution, When H/D is about5, and the S/D has the similar values, it has the optimal efficiency.Ice temperature distribution and de-icing efficiency when in oblique angle is studied, and shows that, small oblique angle jet has higher efficiency with significant results in ice-road occupies.Best jet angle is about15.
