For a long time, the lateral stability and negotiation performance is contradictory for the vehicles with ordinary bogies. Low-wear quasi high-speed passenger car not only have a high speed, but also have a good capacity of the curve. Compared to ordinary bogie, the radial bogie can ensure the vehicle lateral stability of vehicle. At the same time it can improve the vehicle negotiation performance and reduce the lateral force and wear between wheel and rail. It solves the contradiction between lateral stability and negotiation performance effectively.The structure of low wear bogie for quasi high speed passenger car is researched in this paper. The characteristic of several classical self-steering bogies all over the world are described in this paper. The use of pull bar bogie structure of self-oriented quasi-high speed as a low-wear basic model passenger car is described. The second compares the performance of the domestic passenger car, which will pull selected radial bar applies to existing passenger car bodies.The orientation mechanism, functional relationship with the traction-oriented, round of coupling and structural model are analyzed in accordance with these requirements, during the transformation of CW-200-type of domestic passenger car. Analysis show that the radial bogie can improve the performance of curve through and reduce wear at the same time, meet the horizontal stability of the bogie. Especially in smaller radius curves on established lines, the lower power wear of the conventional bogie vehicle model is obvious.
