| The simplified disrtibution automation based on fault passage indicator is effectively complementary to the smart grid. The in-depth analysis is made on several simplified distribution automation models from technical reliability, installation complexity and maintenance convenience. Conclusions are made that power resource from the cable by the CT, short-length wireless communication between sensors and DCU and too many functions appended to sensor are not suitable. A new model of suitable for simplified distribution automation is presented. It consists of sensors with simplified functions, the main unit of fault indicator in the ring main unit for data collection, field bus between the main unit and DCU, DTU and SCADA for general distribution automation system.To improve the accuracy of short circuit and earth fault judgment of indicator, a new fault diagnosis method is brought out. The new method combines the over-current criterion with the current mutation criterion. The load current data is also used to improve the accuracy of fault judgment.Given the field condition and a variety of limitations and according to practical applicability, reliability and free maintenance, technical solution of simplified distribution automation based on multi-functions fault passage indicator is provided. Hardware and software design are realized with simple, applicable, and reliable circuit design and ultra-low power consumption soft design technique. |
