According to the sustainable development, social background and current situation of building energy consumption. The article from the introduction of architectural design method, start with the status of the construction industry with high energy consumption and sustainable development in the era of the main theme of the conflict, as well as the construction of sustainable development with traditional design methods relatively backward contradiction. So, how to resolve these contradictions, and thus leads to the thesis points, based on the BIM platform integrated design method.Specific steps, the article first analyzes the characteristics of traditional design methods and processes, come to the traditional design methods have been unable to meet the requirements of sustainable development of contemporary architecture, we need a new design method, namely, integrated design before line.Of focus, then, to study the characteristics of the integrated design methods, considerations, design principles, system evaluation and design process principles and framework were analyzed by this method with the traditional architectural design methods, to highlight its architectural design. advantage, so as to arrive, the method is based on the traditional architectural goals and building sustainable development for the dual goals of advanced design methods. But the authors also analyze the course of the study, due to lack of a suitable platform as support, the method in the course of practice, encountered such as compatibility and scalability, information integration is not high obstacles, while the BIM platform is powerful weapon to solve the above-mentioned defects.Based on the above findings, the authors then why BIM platform is most suitable for the present integrated platform of research. First expounded BIM concepts and features to start by analyzing the BIM software, BIM and related technologies, the core elements of the BIM "information" three main areas, summed up the value of BIM for integrated design. Thus building design not to use this platform of BIM will hardly be able to efficiently use a variety of building energy-saving technologies (including new structures, new materials, new equipment, etc.), and BIM technology from the architectural design will only be a mere formality. It can be said that the BIM platform for integrated design approach is a necessary condition, on the contrary, integrated design approach also contributed to the development of BIM technology both as complementary, with the times. Therefore, through the integrated design method, clear the innovation is both a design method based on the BIM platform, is currently the most suitable design method of the BIM platform. This is also the practical significance and innovation of this article.Finally, based on the BIM platform integrated design combination of the two, the author analyzes the basic principles of integrated design process based on the BIM platform, and then by an independent villa in the instance of the program design stage, we have two harvest:First to verify the integrated design method based on the BIM platform is proven; Second, summarizes the instances of design ideas and guidance on steps to practice in the future work of the author.Authors’ knowledge, this study has just started in the field, will in future work, continue to BIM platforms and integrated design combination of the two, constantly familiar, master, optimizing, thus building Sustainable Development to make a contribution.The research methods used in this article the main documentary research, survey and descriptive research method, and contrast study method.
