Recently, the process of urbanization gradually accelerated, severe changes has taken placein the urban space, there are more and more frequent exchanges between the major cities aroundthe satellite towns and the central city. The number of people who chose to live, to consume andto work in satellite city has gradually grown up. Industrial layout and industrial structure in theregion are also experiencing adjustments. The integrity of the satellite towns and central cities isexposing. With the growth of satellite city, the traffic need between the satellite towns and thecentral city so well as the surrounding cities is increasing. Under these circumstances the city isbound to put forward new demands of the transportation system. Nowadays the traffic systembetween central city and the traffic city is not well-developed and cannot provide large capacitytransportation which is efficient and convenient. The traffic today has become the bottleneck ofdevelopment and growth of satellite towns.Construction of transportation system between the new satellite towns and Center City aswell as surrounding cities, which can not only meet the growing traffic needs, but also tostrengthen the external radiation of central city, and give a promotion to satellite towns to fulfilltheir function, is related to the major issues of the future economic and social development ofsatellite towns and the central city.To solve these problems, I devote to the green transportation planning and research of thesatellite city, and raise specific implementing strategies with the analysis of large cities satellitecity transportation system, and combined with the green traffic requirements. The purpose is tofacilitate the modes of transportation in satellite cities, and to improve the urban naturalenvironment. Based on the study and combined with the realistic status of Tianjin, I proposed therelative constructive opinion and specific implementer advice on the green traffic programmingin the satellite city of Tianjin, in order to make certain contribution to green traffic construction ofsatellite city of Tianjin.The main conclusions are followed:(1) Accelerate the establishment of a rapid transit system. In the early stage of developmentof satellite cities, the smaller scale of town and traffic requirements does net ask too much fortraffic capacity. The city should be based on the rapid transit system, make the traffic between thesatellite towns and the central city clear and coherent.(2) Make orderly plan of the rail transportation system. To meet the requirements raised bydemand in the sustainable development of urbanization and the satellite towns, there must be afast, high-speed, large-capacity rail transit. Under permitting of financial resources, we should gradually plan the layout of the rail transport network in order to meet the subsequentdevelopment of satellite towns needs.(3) Fully implement the policy of "bus priority". We must strengthen " Bus priority"implementation”, and establish a sound network of bus lanes, and ensure bus priority, toimprove the operational efficiency of the existing ordinary buses and make public transport to bethe preferred means of transport for people traveling.(4) Strongly advocate the bicycle and pedestrian traffic. Strengthen the public environmentalawareness. Encourage the use of non-polluting traveling ways.(5) Restrict car modes. The city needs to reverse the traditional travel concept and developgood habits of the public transportation by reducing the use of private car travel, fees and otherseries of measures...
