In recent years as the society and economic highly developing, the number of vehicles has greatly increased in China. At the same time, the road traffic situation become worse and worse and the accidents have destroyed many people’s property and life. In the past the traffic accident, people always find the cause of the accident from the driver operation and vehicle performance, and ignore the road conditions on the influence of the driving safety.In the practical life if you want to evaluate the relationship between road alignment and driving safety,it may take long time and money or cause traffic accidents, personal injury and property damage.In order to avoid thesesituations,this paper adopts simulation technology to reseach. Firstly,this text summarizes the impact of the circular curve radius, superelevation, longitudinal grade on traffic safety from perspective of the theoretical analysis,and then combined with the multi-body dynamics simulation software ADAMS/Car build vehicle model,road model, road and vehicle coupling model,simulation model to simulate different road alignment on traffic safety.In this paper,the auther selected many road alignment:circular curve road with different radius and superelevation, downhill path with different longitudinal grade and combinatorial path with different radius and longitudinal grade.And then the vehicle tested on these road. According to the data curve the auther proceeded mechanical analysis and summed up the the influences of road alignment on driving safety and the maximum speed driving on different road alignment.It can not only identify and predict the risk of vehicle speed,but also greatly improve the investment benefit of road improvement.This will help to grasp whether the road alignment is reasonable, improving the level of road traffic safety.
