Optimal sequencing for power grid construction projects is an important part in the power grid planning, which decides the production and operation time of power grid projects and occupies an important position in the whole planning process. However, decision-making of power grid investment in the planning is complex. Nowadays, investment of power grid is continuing to grow, and different plan of construction project arrangement can make a great influence on power grid operation. Therefore, study on optimal sequencing for power grid construction projects help to optimize investment and power grid operation.The traditional optimization of power grid investment is focus on economy, and lack of considering comprehensive factors. On the basis of studying and summarizing about the current research at home and abroad, a new type of grid construction project optimization sequencing method has been put forward in this paper, the relevant evaluation indexes are further enriched and perfected, such as coordination and safety. The whole process is divided into two stages, in the first stage, in the premise of meeting constraints of power balance, annual capital, importance of load and grid constraint, many kinds of preliminary sequencing scheme are formed based on complying with the urgency of building projects. In the second stage, through separately calculation of the corresponding evaluation index in view of different scheme, and the best plan is selected by using the method of multiple attribute decision making.In the part of example, optimal sequencing theory has been applied to the real power grid, and desired effect has been achieved. Example shows that the best scheme should be selected based on comprehensive evaluation about the different construction project schemes, and only to be implemented on the condition of its technology and economy in both are reasonable. Through case analysis, the result shows that the method is feasible and efficient, which can provide investment reference and decision support for power grid enterprise.
