Based On The Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Of Foshan TOD Research

TOD (Transit Oriented Development) can be described as "public traffic orienteddevelopment mode of the city", which was created in the United States of America during1990’s and mainly went against the issues lead from city suburbanization during World War II.Its goals were to use urban land and facilities more efficiently, and to curd the continuousspreading of cities, in order to sustain urban development.As accelerating urbanization of China, the major cities are paying special attention to theplanning and construction of public transport, and at the same time, design of city publictransportation hub has become an important research subject in the field of transportation.Foshan City is located in one of the most dynamic economy areas of our country, the regionof Pearl River Delta. After decades of rapid development, the appearance of the city andtraffic condition has been improved significantly, and the city in the process of the variousproblems and negative effect also is shown gradually. To solve these problems, internationalpopular approach is based on the concept of TOD development model, at the same time, manydomestic big city also have launched the TOD study. Therefore, this paper hopes to establishevaluation model of Foshan, TOD implementation of the scientific evaluation.In this paper, through the analysis of the data in recent years the Foshan City trafficdevelopment present situation, then the city development general rule is analyzed, and theFoshan City traffic development in the future of the mode and direction; and in order toachieve the desired goal, it is necessary to introduce the concept of TOD. Then, this paperintroduces the concept of TOD model, and analysis of foreign advanced city in the process ofconstruction of TOD of the experience gained and lessons, using SWOT analysis this paperdiscusses the implementation of TOD Foshan unique background and conditions; finally, inorder to strengthen the TOD planning operation based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation,this paper puts forward TOD evaluation method of TOD, and according to the results ofevaluation gives his suggestions to Foshan TOD mode.
