China is one of the geological disasters-hit countries,In recent years, casualties and property losses due to geological disasters are very heavy. Landslide hazard is one of the frequent geological disasters. There are many factors affecting the slope stability. Doing in-deep study to the impact factors and the stability analysis evaluation, making a comprehensive analysis of the relationship between the various factors for making accurate prevention and prediction, which is an effective way to reduce the geological disasters. In this paper takes Wang Xia perilous rock disaster management project as an example, doing stability analysis to Wang Xia perilous rock by traditional limit equilibrium method and numerical simulation. Using strength reduction method to obtain the safety coefficient, and to do stability evaluation. The main contents are as follows:First, introduce development of high rock slopes stability analysis in the word, undermine the principle of a high rock slope and the main factors, and describes the process of slope stability analysis. Simple model of homogeneous slope is been built. Using strength reduction method and bulk density increased method to do stability calculation. Obtaining the safety coefficient, and to do stability evaluation. The safety coefficient obtained by the two methods were compared, and then find the reason for the difference of the two methods, summe up the scope of application of each method. Meanwhile, determine the failure mode of the perilous rock, selected the stability of the calculation model. Using the broken line method to calculate the stability of the perilous rock now and after W2-1sliped. Caculating the status quo of the perilous rock based on the finite difference method. Using the strength reduction method to find the safety coefficient, and do reserch of the stability and failure mode for analysis and evaluation. Finally, after the excavation of the project management simulation, its stability was evaluated and obtain the safety coefficient. The safety coefficient and slope stability evaluation which are caculated by Numerical methods compared with the conclusion of the transfer coefficient method. Discussed in detail with the results of the analysis the reasons of the existence of similarities and differences and the possible influencing factors, then put forward some reasonable proposals for future similar projects calculation.
