With the rapid development of China’s economy, engineering machinery products in infrastructure is becoming more and more important. The world put more sight in Chinese Engineering machinery because of it fasting development. Although, We cannot deny the fact the weak of technology, And the same time, engineering machinery design started relatively late in our nation. So there’s no scientific design system established by now. Now form design of Engineering machinery is becoming more and more important, in this condition, what we do to supervision and make standard to engineering machinery product form design, make its development good and rapidly, is the first thing we should do.This research based on the engineering machinery products, and tries to build form design evaluation system of it. How to assess a design scheme correctly and rationalize; it is main purpose of my research. It contains Product form design method, product semantics, and design evaluation of the relevant theory system.The paper first made a study of engineering mechanical product design. Picking the key extraction from its own form design according to the engineering mechanical product characteristics.Establish specific engineering machinery product form design evaluation system which contains two aspects:1.Form design evaluation(Modeling, scale, color.etc)2.Product design strategy(semantic convey, the recognition, DNA hereditary.etc). The comprehensive evaluation result and integration.Subsequent research will be taken from two directions,1st, to make it into the whole design evaluation theory system;2nd, expanding and perfect evaluation system through subsequent studies.All in all, this paper do research on engineering machinery product form design evaluation methods which basis on products to form semantics, product design strategy, design evaluation, design management and related discipline knowledge. It will provide the theory of effective support for engineering machinery of product design evaluation.
