The Landscape Art Design teaching at the higher vocational schools of Artshas been an indispensable part of the education system for landscape architecturetraining program. However, it is demonstrated that both of the theoretical andpractical system of those teaching programs still need to be improved. By analyzingthe main issues in the current teaching programs and combining the comprehensiveadvantages provided with higher vocational schools, this article proposes a series ofteaching countermeasures for the fields of the teaching orientations for highervocational schools, the developments and demands of education for the subjects ofLandscape Art Design, the professional education characteristics of Arts schools aswell as the changes in the job market. Simultaneously, the article takes the reformideas for Landscape Art Design teaching of Professional Technical Institutes of ArtDesign of China Academy of Arts as examples, suggests a number of relevantsolutions based on the particular issues to practical Landscape Art Design teaching, inorder to refer several quotable teaching methods.
