This paper based on the measurement principle, structure,calibration method,size-of-source effect(SSE), stability and analysis the uncertainty of the radiationthermometers. Two kinds of radiation thermometers with1.6μm center wavelengthwere established for large-diameter blackbody radiation source calibration. The mainresearch content and innovative research results obtained are as follows:1、Developed a new1.6μm radiation thermometer. Providing a new temperaturestandard for a large number of blackbody radiation source, eliminating thetemperature difference between the contact thermometry results and blackbody cavity,solving part of the technical difficulties which is the blackbody not have traceablestandard thermometer. Initially solved the field calibration of the blackbody radiationsources which are not suitable transport, established a calibration method andequipment which can promote in the country. It extended the temperature range andwavelength range of radiation thermometry.2、The device design of the1.6μm radiation thermometer. Include: objectivetubes, optical bench, the instrument housing, base parts and so on. The innovativedesign of the objective tubes play the purpose of effectively reduce the level of SSE.Improve the optical system of the1.6μm radiation thermometer. The purpose of thefilter is the whole band to transform light into the function of the single-band light. Thedetector module effectively improves the cooling of the detectors, installationconditions.3、A constant temperature water-cooling module is designed for the1.6μmthermometer. The test results show that when the water bath controller watertemperature each increased by1℃, the thermometer measurement value increase of0.07℃. The constant temperature water-cooled module is effective to improve themeasurement stability of the thermometer. 4、Produced a power supply module for the1.6μm radiation thermometer. The firstis the choice of the better output stability and linearity of the linear power supply toreplace the switching power supply and integrated design, in order to better security.5、With a new indexing method for indexing radiation thermometer(Sakumaindexing method). This method has the following advantages compared to the previoussingle-indexing method. Do not need to measure the effective wavelength of thethermometer and nonlinear, only need to measure the value of three or more than threefixed-points.6、The main technical indicators of the two radiation thermometers were tested,which part of the performance testing of the radiation thermometer reached theinternational level.
