A harbor plays a significant role in urban development.Constructing a sea port may bring economic benefits, but it may affectthe local hydrodynamic environment at the same time. Goodhydrodynamic conditions are the foundation of sustainable developmentfor Donjiakou harbor area. In this paper, a2-D hydrodynamic numericalmodel is used to analyze the hydrodynamic conditions change inDongjiakou harbor area.This paper uses Deflt3D flow’s two-dimensional shallow waterwave equation of mean deepness as the governing equation and convertsit into water dynamic equations under the orthogonal curve coordinatesystem. We use the finite volume method to discrete the water dynamicequations on the staggered grid and establish a two-dimensional tidenumerical model. The boundary conditions of the model is provided byNAO.99b tidal prediction system and the tidal station (provides the actualmeasurement information).We make a simulation of the tide motion ofthe ocean space Dongjiakou harbor area by this model, and to verify thismodel’s rationality we compare the actual measurement information withthe result of the simulation. The model can analyze the hydrodynamic environment of Dongjiakou sea area after validating the consistencybetween simulated results and observed ones.First, the characteristics and the distribution rules of tides in theDongjiakou harbor area are thoroughly analyzed. Second,the paperanalyze the flow field、sea level and tidal prism prior to and after theimplementation plan. The hydrodynamic environment of the sea aroundDongjiakou harbor area changes a little. The sea level does not changes,the flow only changes in the sea around harbor, the tidal prism decreasesa little,this may affect water exchange and sediment transport. We focuson the distribution and moving modes of tidal current in wharf apronbasins and channels.At last, according to the numerical simulation result, we draw aconclusion: The implement of the general plan for Dongjiakou harborarea changes the local hydrodynamic environment a little, the generalplan is a reasonable design, and the harbor basin is well-protected.
