Along with the development of city’s traffic, in order to make the city have betterenvironment and adapt to the environment requirements of the more and more people. All theuse of individual cars in the citywill gradually be controlled. For example Beijing vehicle limit.So the city bus will be used increasingly common. Especially with the big load and the use ofclean energy twelve meters long natural gas bus will be enjoyed by more and more people. Sopeople’s requirements that contain ride comfort and avoiding strong vibration, which comesfrom the floor when standing on the floor, generally improve. Based on this consideration, thispaper has harshness simulation analysis about natural gas bus.Harshness is a major performance of modern vehicle which has high speed and highcomfortableness. It affects the passengers and the driver’s ride comfort and driver’s fatiguecauses traffic accidents is one of the important factors. So people should pay more attention tothe run harshness. The use of air suspension can improve vehicle harshness, manipulationstability, tire ground connection and other vehicle use performance. In addition, it also reducesthe impact of the road, protects the road. The traditional study analysis method for theimprovement of the harshness for vehicles, design cost is high, the design cycle is long, havenot already satisfied the requirement of modern automobile research. Virtual prototypetechnology as a new technology has been used in various fields. This paper just uses AutomaticDynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems ADAMS to study air suspension system about theharshness influence.Firstly this paper summarizes the characteristics of air suspension, and the advantagesrelative to the other suspension, Secondly take the theory and method of multiple rigid bodydynamics as the basis, takea certain type ofpassenger carsfromFAW bus (Chengdu) Co., LTD.as a prototype, According to the2D structure arrangement and the related parameters, throughthe measurement, calculation and using CATIA to draw a3D model method, the purpose is toget the qualitycharacteristic parametersofparts, positioning parametersofpartsand other basicparameters,Establish the whole vehicle multi-body dynamics model in ADAMS, and compilegrade B road (the asphalt road) document which is used in the simulation of harshness. Themodel of the random road input smooth simulation, and body of smooth road test, Will test andsimulation of the measured three place acceleration power spectral density compared to verifythe validity of the model, for further study to lay the foundation, Analysis of the influence ofnatural gas city bus smooth several institutions layout parameters etc.
