Yiwu Futang Ancient Village Space Protection And Development Countermeasure Research

This paper bases on the project "Environmental Art Design of Ancient Temple and Jiangdong Road ", which is cooperated by the He Mountain Environment Art Research Center of ZJUT and Yiwu Government cooperation project.Situating along the Yiwu River, the ancient town has well-developed water transport. Meanwhile, Buddha and water are two meaningful elements of the ancient town, all these mentioned above reflect the importance of the water transport to the ancient town. Moreover, water transport is deemed as the particularity and the universality characteristic of the ancient towns in JiangnanThe object of this study is the ancient temple in Yiwu. Following a brief review of the Urban Spatial Development Theory and the Town Space Analytic as the theoretical foundation, this paper argues the water transport and the business evolution of the old street of the Yiwu River as the starting point, and then discusses the space structure and the form of the ancient town, and investigates its layout plans, spatial pattern and its relationship with the water system environment deeply. At the same time, in order to put forward the ideas, goals, contents and the specific measures about how to protection and recovery the ancient town, the author firstly analyses the neighborhood space, street space, node space and scenic space etc, of the ancient town, and then to investigate the situation of the ancient town, analyzing problems it facing. Finally, the author develops the planning design practice of the town space.Through the case, the author tries to do some basic researches about the protection of the traditional settlements dwellings and the inheritance and development of the regional traditional culture in Yiwu area, but also to provide some references and the models about protection and development of ancient towns along the river. Meanwhile, this study aims to inform people a more particular knowledge of the traditional cultural heritage, and to enhance the protection awareness about the Integral space pattern, landscape features, traditional architecture and traditional culture about the historic area, in this case to carry out the sustainable development more preferably.
