The traditional ignition in gas turbine have many advantages and disadvantages, thecontinuous arc plasma ignitor combines all of the advantages and avoids some ofdisadvantages at the same time.It is not only shortening the ignition dalay time but alsoincreasing the ignition power.In order to improve the ignition efficiency,we designed aspecific plasma ignition power source which can ignite the fuel successfully in all kinds ofpoor oxygen and low temperature environment.On the basis of analysis on plasma arc performance and plasma ignition theory, a suitablecurve zone of plasma arc has been chosed to design the matching transformer with the higherleakage reactance. According to the input and output power, the paper design the half-bridgetopology structure of the Switching Power Supply. With the simple structure, this circuit canadjust the power in huge range. The circuit adopts the high frequency and high voltage toproduce the plasam arc,and control the plasma arc production frequency and power by theintegrate of the PWM and PFM. OrCAD and Multisim electronic software have been used tosimulate the Switching Power Supply.The circuit parameters were ascertained according tosimulated results.To reduce the EMI of the power source on the electronic environment and improve itsown anti-interference ability, this paper optimize the EMC of the plasma power source. Andfinally, the paper designed a special plasma power source which can satisfy the National EMCcertification.At last,the circuit structure was ploted by Protel DXP software and then we designed aspecific plasma ignition power source, and carried out the performance expeiments whichincluded arc strike expeiment and systerm performance expeiment. The result shows that, thenumerical result is in good agreement with the experiment data.This research is a strong basisfor designing plasma ignition power source deeply.
