Evaluation Studies On Space Efficiency Of The Outdoor Environment In High-rise Residential District Based On DEA

With the rapid development of urbanization, the urban population surged in a short-term. Faced with the grim situation of shortage of land resources in China, the pattern of residential high-rise emerged, which was both to improve the efficiency of space development, and to inhibited the expansion of urban size. Thus, the pattern gradually achieved universal access in various cities of China. However, in the development of high-rise residential district, emerged many residential environment problems. Of which the most prominent point is less efficient in the living spaces compared to multi-layer residential district, the phenomenon like the reduction of exchanges, neighborhood indifference, idle space and lake of community identity is very common. How to essentially improve space design quality and use efficiency of the living environment in high-rise residential district, which is the problem to be solved in today’s high-rise space environment construction development.This paper mainly discusses the effect of outdoor space in high-rise residential district for the residents, in other words, whether the residents are satisfied with their living environment or not, which will directly affect the frequency of the outdoor environment use. My paper introduces the multi-input and multi-output evaluation methods-data envelopment analysis (DEA), by specific analysis evaluation index system and model, to make the empirical analysis on10typical the outdoor environment in high-rise residential district of five municipal districts in Hefei, with the objective data to quantify the evaluation. And based on the final outcome of the evaluation, from the professional point of view of planning and design, analyzing the specific reasons of each DMU, which is valid or invalid. At the same time, qualitatively recommend the planning strategies and recommendations, which to guide the construction of the outdoor space in high-rise residential district of Hefei in the future time.
