Design & Research Of New Residential Outdoor Space In The Southern Region

The residential space is an important space for everyday living life: it tends to have a strong regional characteristic. With increasing demand level, a health outdoor space environment has been paid more and more attention. The entrance space, the center space and the space between blocks are major residential outdoor spaces, which have become top priority to design and create an outdoor space environment.This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the research background, research trends of the residential development, proposed residential outdoor space problems, expound this study purpose, meaning, content, identify research methods and research framework. The second chapter is to explain outdoor space relative concepts, and put forward basic features and contents of healthy living outdoor space. The third chapter describes the natural features of external elements of the space environment in the southern region, and its cultural and historical context. In this chapter, it discusses the relationship between people and the environment, and promotes "respect for the environment, people-oriented" design thinking. The fourth chapter discusses the components and functions of residential entrance space, the center space and the space between blocks. Combined with the new resident district, field research analysis and identifies problems, the chapter analyzes the causes and influencing factors and puts forward design principles. The fifth chapter analyzes practice projects, and elaborates different types of residential design ideas and methods. Based on the basic principles of residential outdoor space design, the chapter explores the problems of the residential design and proposes optimal designing methods to achieve the research objectives which meet current people’s demands and create a healthy living outdoor space.The final chapter concludes remarks, and expresses the significance of this study hopes and expectations of the residential development prospects.
