The demand of commercial concrete grows rapidly with the economic development,people’s awareness of environment protection and improved control requirements ofconstruction quality. And concrete mixer truck is needed to transport the concrete from theproduction site to the construction site. In this paper, the weak part of concrete mixer truckreducer was analyzed by ANSYS and then the mechanical structure was improved.Main content as follows:(1) For the first stage planetary gears: The static strength and contact analysis of the firststage sun gears and planetary gears were analyzed by ANSYS Workbench on the basis of themaximum input torque. The results showed that when the gears worked under uniform loadthe sun gears’ static strength could satisfy the word requires, the gear tooth surface contactedwell, but the deformation of the gear tooth was large. The first stage sun gears were optimizedby applying uniform load structure.(2) For the gearbox: The deformation of the gearbox was analyzed under some extremework conditions, considering the results and the actual failure situation, it was suggested thatthe ring gear and the gearbox should be processed separately, and the failure might be causedby the defects of the casting process.(3) For the output flange: The results showed that the structure was not reasonable and itwas optimized by using cone retaining ring partly.
