Study On The Public Transport Of The Inter-city Road Passenger Transportation In Urban Agglomeration

With the fast development of urbanization process and regional economic integration, more andmore urban agglomerations are formulating. Among the cities exchanges have been more and moreclosely, residents pay more attention to travel quantity and quality; especially they care about the fastand convenient of the tools. However, with the fast development of economic, many transportationproblems appear. For example, rapid increase of motor vehicles, public traffic atrophies the weaknessof traffic infrastructure, the reasonable of distribution and so on. At the same time, there are also manynew problems in the field of transportation. The passenger transportation develops into the stage ofstructure optimization and upgrading. In some areas, passenger transportation operation obtainedfavorable result after beneficial exploration, but systematic scientific guidance are still not enough, soit is very important to research the passenger transportation in the urban agglomeration.Firstly, this paper gives the definition of the urban agglomeration and researches its styles,features and development trend; analyzes the traffic system, passenger transport structure, its demandcharacteristics, passenger travelling characteristics; definite the passenger transportation of the urbanagglomeration. Then, the paper points out the development status and existed problems about thepassenger transportation, puts forward the developing countermeasures based on the SWOT analysis.The focus of this paper is to propose a forecasting method, to propose passenger route networkplanning method of “layered layout, integral optimization” and to study the operation organizationfrom the following three aspects: the capacity configuration, operation organization and managementpolicies.
