With environment pollution and energy shortages, which make consciousness ofenvironment protection and energy-saving filter into people’s minds, the vehicle industry isfacing difficulties which it never met. And people claim that the cars as one kind ofnormal vehicle should also have the environment protection and energy-saving function.To solve these problems, new-energy cars are presenting a accelerated developmenttendency, and more and more attentions are paid to all kinds of new-energy cars.The necessary of the development of electric vehicles is first introduced in this paper,the obvious advantages and broad prospects of the PMSM drive and control system forelectric vehicles are elaborated.Based on the definition of space vector and the coordinatetransformation,three different mathematical models of permanent magnet synchronousmotor are derived in the three-phase static,two-phase static and two-phase synchronousrotating coordinate.Secondly,in order to control the speed and torque of PMSM quickly and reliably,thevector control strategy is proposed.The principle of PMSM rotor field-oriented voltagespace vector pulse width modulation is analyzed detailed,using the i=0control strategy,based on the MATLAB environment,current and speed double closed-loop vector controland voltage space vector control simulations are realized.Vector control as a advanced controlling strategy is developed on the basement of motor unification principle,energy conversion and vector coordinate transformation,which have the characteristic of novelty, practicability and advancement.By transformingthe model of PMSM to DC motor, and it controls the PMSM in a synchronous way.Thestator current is decomposed into two DC parts which are orientated towards the rotatormagnetic field and controlled respectively.In which way, it achieves high-performancePMSM speed control.The main topic of paper includes analysis of motor mathematical model,the basicprinciples of VC and Space Vector Pulse-Width Modulation.Based on these basicprinciples,the paper completes the hardware circuit of the system,the software of VCalgorithm and preliminary testing of the machine based on DSP TMS320F2407ADSP,and,the simulation of VC algorithm based on Simulink.Then the paper completes the hardware circuit of the system,the software of VCalgorithm and preliminary testing of the machine based on DSP TMS320F2407ADSP.At last, some function tests are produced, the result of which confirms with thedemanding of design.
