The achievement of intelligent substation technology, which supplies a modernplatform for substation instrument efficient operating and maintaining, contributes tothe improvement of substation instrument management and smart grid. Smart grid,which is the direction of power grid future construction, is widely developed in China.The intelligent substation, which is the most important component of smart grid, is thekey role to improve the intelligent of power grid.The most difference between the intelligent substation and conventionalsubstation is that the network communication substitutes the traditional cable for thesignal transmission of substation. The network communication of intelligentsubstation employs point-to-point communication, which is different from full stationnetwork communication of digital substation. Thus, conventional signal record andanalysis technology based on cable connection and network record system of digitalsubstation are not applicable. The structure of network communication and format ofcommunication packets are discussed and the method, which integrates the signalrecord and analysis of intelligent substation, is introduced in this paper. Theinformation of power grid, such as voltage and current signal, and the networkcommunication is well coordinated. The solution of direct-sampling-trip networkcommunication structure of intelligent substation is proposed.The method is applied in the construction of Hechanglu110kV substation inCenter Eco-City Tianjin. The actual operating shows that the integrate signal recordand analysis network communication is effective solution for direct-sampling-triptechnology of intelligent substation, which supplies technical reference for thedevelopment of intelligent substation.
