The Research Of Architectural Culture Characteristics Of Historic Cultural Towns In Hebei Province Yuxian County

Preventing globalization of architecture, protecting regional cultures, probing and serachingfor regional features of architectural design, they are the responsibility and obligation ofarchitects in modern times. All the time, domestic governments pay more attention to protectionof regional architecture through enacting lots of relevent regulations and policies.This thesis narrates primary human cultural concepts had influence on residential buildingat that time. Hebei province has a long history. There are plenty of cultural relics. Many townsand villages still conserve traditional folk houses and historical relics with valuablecharacteristics. This thesis takes YuXian in Hebei province，the thesis analyzes the relationshipbetween regional cultures of Chinese tradition and construction of towns and villages as well astheir influence on it from following two aspects at the same time.The first aspect is material suchas climate, landform, local constructional materials and so on. The other is spiritual culture suchas etiquettesand institutions, social customs and habits, religious faith, sibship, geomantic omenand so on.This thesis takes Nuanquan town on wich there is less research and literature as anexample. I have surveyed, researched and drawn Nuanquan town of YuXian. According to fourgiant ancient architectures, ancient castles, folk houses, temples and ancient stage, the thesisanalyzes local historical origin, religious fiath and folk customs affect local architecturalfunctions, layouts, forms and omaments.Finally, this thesis analyzes typical examples such as Cang Zhuxuan, Donglou houses andyards, Laojun view and exchange and transfer of moneytary organization. It also providesresource reference for protection of regional congstruction and local architectural design.
