There is the increasingly widespread concern of Building energyconsumption, the existing buildings as an important component part of the totalurban construction which is the emphasis of building energy saving work.Andfollowing problems exist: most of them built in the early、 the large amountof construction,and especially the serious energy issues.Universitiesconstruction as an important part of existing buildings in the city,whose energyconsumption accounted for8%of the total social energy consumption..With thedevelopment of universities,the increasing of new construction and expansionof buildings, so that colleges and universities become an energy hog in thecity.The great Energy consumption、 promote energy saving is slow, EnergyManagement disorder and weak awareness of energy conservation made theUniversities energy-saving to be the focus of the urban energy.In this study:first,through the research of the transformation actualsituation of University’s existing buildings in Xi’an、with combining green building theory and case studies to summed up the system menu ofenergy-saving technology.Second,by analysis envelope of the structural status、building data measured and analysis of test results about the office, teaching andlibrary buildings which is the main categories of College architectures in Xi’an,then summed up the common and individual problems of Xi’an Universities ofexisting buildings.Third, Combined the existing problems and already summedup the total building energy-saving technologies to screening Technologysystem which is Appropriate in Xi’an area,to adapt to the climate andenvironment、 social environment and economic environment in Xi’anarea;According to the Xi’an Existing Building Energy Saving technology system,drawn meet the technical system of Universities Existing Building EnergySaving, And in accordance with the existing architectural features of thedifferent eras, different types proposed a targeted program..Finally, in the actualenergy case, with Chang’an University Department of Architecture Museumas an example, physical testing the hall and analysis it, research therehabilitation programs and described the possibility of system technology.This study is based on the Universities in Xi’an in the energy-saving concept of the existing building energy-saving strategies, and provide referenceexamples of Existing Building Energy Saving in the cold regions.
