Compaction state of the asphalt mixture impacts the performance of the road, such asasphalt pavement strength, stability, fatigue resistance and bearing capacity. The less adequateof asphalt mixture Compaction, the greater of the road surface porosity, the smaller of thedegree of the stability, tensile strength and stiffness, the shorter of fatigue life, the greater ofthe compressive deformation during use of pavement, thereby the initial flatness anddurability of the asphalt surface will be poor. At the present time of the asphalt mixturepavement construction of china, the same rolling technology is used as the test during theactual construction, only considering the test whether the asphalt mixtures reach the standarddegree of compaction regardless of how the outside weather changes. To solve this problem,this article analyzed the external conditions’ effect to compaction, also analyzed the rollingtechnology depending on the external conditions.temperature of the asphalt mixture influence on compaction performance greatly, itsexternal factors including wind speed, solar radiation, air temperature, loose laying depth,initial temperature of asphalt mixture influencing on compaction performance is mainlyreflected in the compaction temperature of the mixture. This article analyzed the compactioncharacteristics of the mixture by controlling the temperature of mixture, the SGC test and theMarshall Compaction Test was used to analyze the compaction properties of asphalt mixturein different molding temperatures.In consideration of compaction temperature on the mixture compaction performance, thisarticle analyzed the effect of external factors including the paving thickness, wind speed, airtemperature, solar radiation, the initial temperature on cooling law of the mixture by ANSYSsoftware; two states of loose laying (fastest cooling) and dense (most slow cooling) wasanalyzed, Efficient multivariate regression formula of compaction time was proposed.Based on the equivalent relationship between Marshall Compaction test and fieldcompaction, compaction machines’ rolled times is calculated to reach the standardcompaction. Based on the effective compaction time Analysis, construction technology was determined. Take the AC-25of160℃initial temperature for example,The combination ofrolling length, rolling speed, the mechanical number was determined when the pavingthickness is7.6cm, the initial temperature of160°C, air temperature is20℃, the wind speed is3m/s, the solar radiation is150w/m.
