| Epoxy asphalt concrete becomes the preferred material for steel bridge deck paving withmany excellent qualities, such as superior performance, long durability. However, thesolidified concrete was crispy hard and poor deformation coordination with steel bridge deck.When the temperature was lowering, epoxy asphalt concrete was apt to crack because oftemperature stress at the high modulus. To achieve technical requirements of steel bridgedeck paving, it is necessary to improve the suppleness of epoxy asphalt concrete. This reportmainly researched added flexibility and toughness of domestic epoxy asphalt concrete,meanwhile, proved performance of epoxy asphalt concrete.Firstly, the forms of diseases were surveyed in domestic steel bridge deck pavement.According to the analysis of multiform diseases, crack was the main form. Combined withcuring mechanism of epoxy asphalt concrete, air void and Marshall stability of mixture wereaffected by different reserved time and different material temperature. The reasonablereserved time and material temperature of epoxy asphalt concrete was obtained.Secondly, this report defined the flexibility and toughness of epoxy asphalt concrete, andproposed evaluation index with flexibility and tough factor on the basis of low temperatureblending test and fatigue test. Through theoretical analysis and experimental research, it wasdiscussed that different quantities of core-shell rubber, crumb rubber, polyester-fibre impacton the flexibility and toughness, while confirmed modified method of suppleness and theoptimum content of additive.The last, combined with evaluation index of the flexibility and toughness, the index ofsuppleness was suppleness coefficient. Compared flexible performance, tough property andsupple property of domestic epoxy asphalt concrete, within modified additive epoxy asphaltand supple epoxy asphalt concrete, the performance of supple epoxy asphalt concrete wasverified. |
