Emulsified asphalt is now widely used in road repair project. The biggest characteristicis can be used at room temperature. But general emulsified asphalt has not enough strengthand flexibility is poor. Therefore it restricts the promotion and application of emulsifiedasphalt in asphalt pavement maintenance and repair project. This paper presents a newemulsified asphalt mixture-epoxy resin modified asphalt emulsion mixture, can effectivelyimprove the performance of emulsified asphalt mixture, high efficiency, energy saving, fastand less pollution.According to the physical and chemical properties of raw material and mixture formingmechanism analysis,this paper chose a relatively flexible and a relatively rigid waterborneepoxy resin for further research. Based on the test of mixing sequence, compaction moldingmethod and curing condition, this thesis put forward the epoxy resin modified asphaltemulsion mixture test methods, and puts forward the mixture ratio design method.Based on the Marshall test, split test, rutting test, bending creep test, the adhesion test,freeze-thaw splitting test of the different content of epoxy resin, this paper studies themixture mechanical properties, high temperature stability, low temperature stability andwater stability and get different blending amount of epoxy resin asphalt emulsion mixtureproperties. At the same time, this paper studies construction performance by mixing test,cohesion test, memory test. According to the above results, this paper puts forward themodel of mixture design principle and design standard.This paper argues that epoxy resin modified emulsified asphalt mixture is a kind ofhigh grade pavement repair material, is disposed in the diseases of highway and meet agood level of service of highway in an effective way, can reduce highway repairmaintenance pressure, to create greater social and economic benefits.
