Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle(IGCC) technology is verysuitable to the situation which takes the coal as the main energy sourcelike our country. IGCC system was constituted by two complicated parts:gasifier system and power island, the matching of components andsystem integration of IGCC system has not grasped yetat present. Thetheoretcial research on IGCC system is still not fully implemented.Based on Research Plan of science and technology Committee ofShanghai municipal " Simulation study on IGCC system "(09DZ1200702), the following points has been focused:Aiming at the defects of the traditional model of Shell gasifier, thecell method in modeling of Taxeco Gasifier was introduced to improvethe traditonal lumped slag method for Shell Gasifier, a new model whichis called “cell slag layer model was proposed. This new model can notonly represent dynamic characteristics of gasifier better, but also reflectthe distribution of radial internal parameters of furnace. The model wasverified and performance analysis has been conducted.The IGCC system is comprised of gasifier, HRSG and steam turbine.A IGCC system has been matched and designed based on the V94.3a gasturbine. The model of IGCC system include physical property module,gas turbine subsystem, HRSG subsystem and steam turbine subsystem was built on EASY5platform. Steady state performance and dynamicperformance of system was studied.Based on the dynamic characteristics of the system with open loop,as well the basic control requirements of IGCC system, the primary IGCCsystem control loop has been proposed. In the case of load changing, thecontrol characteristics of system under the different PID parameters wasperformed. For the load trip, the control strategy of the IGCC system wascreated by selecting PID parameters. Considering the controlrequirements of combined-cycle, different load control loops wereproposed; Simulation study on the control performance with differentcontrol loops has been conducted and compared, this will provide areference for the controller design and control strategy optimization ofIGCC system.
