Most of the current parallel route collision research focus on navigation performance, aircraft performance and the structure of en-route, however the human factor is not concerned. This paper proposes that human factor has been an important factor in parallel route flightsafety by analysising current parallel flight and accidents. It’s necessary to take human factorinto consideration while calculating parallel route safety, so the parallel route collision riskmodels based on human reliability in radiotelephony communication are given to specificrisks. To establish the parallel route collision risk models based on human reliability, it’sessential to take into account the characteristic of human in parallel fight and the flightcharacteristic of parallel flight. Firstly, this paper puts forward that not only the reliability ofthe air traffic controller and the pilot, but also the interaction between them should beconceded in the analysis of human factor in parallel route. To fully analysis human reliabilityin parallel flight, this paper improve the traditional Cognitive Reliability and Error AnalysisMethod by adding the interaction between human and get a matrix table of cognitive behaviorand cognitive function. This matrix table could be applied in parallel fight and it reflects theisolated acts of the air traffic controller and pilot as well as their interactive behavior.Secondly, the standard and the evacuation chart of the parallel flight is established duringevaluating the performance influence of organizational factor to improve the accuracy of theevaluation of human reliability in parallel flight. The computational models of humanreliability in parallel flight is given and its numerical value is added in parallel route collisionmodel regarded as human reliability influence factor. After assaying the characteristic ofparallel flight, the paper proposes the parallel route collision models from the directions oflongitudinal, vertical and lateral based on the analysis of corresponding human factors. Finally the validity of the models is proved by examples. The parallel route flight model established could be used to evaluate human factor in airtraffic control, also the evaluation matrix could be used to decline weakness in parallel routeflight. At the same time it can more explicitly calculate collision risk by using the parallelroute collision risk models based on human reliability and the flight gap can be a aid for thedesign of parallel flight to guarantee the utilization of airspace.
