Research On Port Logistics Competitiveness Evaluation Of Shanghai Port

As an important hub and node for international ocean-to-land logistics routes,the port is not only the joint of water transportation and the distribution center for goods,but also plays an increasingly important role in modern international production,trade and transportation systems.With the rise of the fifth-generation port,it is not a single-function water transport hub that undertakes the transfer and warehousing of goods,but instead acts as a resource allocation platform and becomes a comprehensive logistics center that service for international trade.This puts forward higher requirements for the port,not only to play its role of loading and unloading,transfer,but also to dig out its role as an important node in the logistics chain.Based on this,we will actively develop logistics value-added services.The overall goal of the construction of the Shanghai International Shipping Center during the“Thirteenth Five-Year Plan”period is as follows:By 2020,the Shanghai International Shipping Center will be at the forefront of the world shipping center,with basically completed shipping resources being highly concentrated,sound shipping services,excellent shipping market environment,and modern logistics services.Efficient,international shipping center with global shipping resource allocation capability^[1].In the port cities where the proportion of the primary industry and the secondary industry is continuously declining,they increasingly place the task of urban economic growth on the logistics industry as a tertiary industry.Through the development of port logistics,the demand for freight transport is stimulated to drive the port industry.Agglomeration,in turn,promotes the growth of the foreign trade economy,which in turn can promote the development of port logistics,thereby achieving a virtuous circle.At present,the research of domestic and foreign scholars mainly includes several factors such as the influence factors of port logistics,the construction of evaluation index system of port logistics competitiveness,and evaluation methods.Research still exists mainly in static,the evaluation index system is not comprehensive,and quantitative research and analysis are relatively few.Therefore,the article re-screened the evaluation indicators,introduced the method of entropy weight analysis,and established a new evaluation system to evaluate the competitiveness of Shanghai port logistics.The article first introduces the research background,research significance,research methods and innovations of the study.It is followed by summarizing the domestic and international literature of port logistics.Secondly,it describes the definition of port logistics competitiveness,summarizes its characteristics,and sorts out related competitiveness theories.Combining the influencing factors and development status of port logistics,the evaluation index system of port logistics competitiveness was constructed according to the principles of science,consistency and comparability.The above seaport and port logistics are the main research objectives.According to certain criteria,the eight ports of Shenzhen Port,Ningbo Zhoushan Port,Guangzhou Port,Tianjin Port,Dalian Port,Xiamen Port and Qingdao Port are selected to collect raw data of eight ports and use entropy.The power TOPSIS analysis method is used for empirical analysis to evaluate the level of Shanghai's port logistics competitiveness and to clarify its existing advantages and disadvantages.The results of the study show that Shanghai Port has a strong competitiveness in logistics,ranking first overall.Among them,the port logistics supply capacity and the leading economic conditions in the hinterland of the port have laid a superior position for Shanghai Port's port logistics competitiveness;the insufficiency of the development of port logistics has,to some extent,constrained the development of port logistics at Shanghai Port.In addition,Ningbo Zhoushan Port's natural conditions and transportation system are also more advantageous than Shanghai Port.Finally,according to the empirical analysis results,suggestions are made for the development of port logistics in Shanghai.Specifically,we will increase the freedom and convenience of ports,develop transit operations,improve the collection and transportation system,and strengthen cooperation with neighboring ports for reference.
