Single screw pump is one kind of rotary displacement pumps. It’s widely used in petroleum, chemical, food, sewage treatment and other industries, because of its simple and compact structure, high self-priming ability and wide medium applicability. But now, single screw pump exist many problems that degree of electromechanical integration is low, product operating parameters do not match the actual process requirements, flow control and measurement is inaccurate, energy utilization is low in most technological process. At the same time, this product is not matching condition monitoring system, without the function of fault prediction and condition maintenance, the reliability is poor and accident rate is high. The handling and maintenance of single screw pump exists the problem of great labor intensity, low working efficiency and high operating cost in some remote applications. Therefore, in view of the above questions, research and development of single screw pump automation system is necessary.According to the performance requirement of single screw pump in technological process of one factory in Wenzhou and current technical conditions, this paper presents the technical scheme that flow control based on frequency control, product state analysis based on parameter monitoring, remote monitoring based on GPRS wireless data transmission. This article makes an extensive and in-depth research on condition monitoring, flow control, remote data transmission and monitoring software development of single screw pump. The studying includes following contents.1. Establishing the remote monitoring system model of single screw pump, then the remote terminal and monitoring center which mainly include PLC, converter and GPRS module is designed.2. Through the research of flow control strategies, the response speed and precision are improved with a combination way of quick adjustment and PID closed-loop control.3. The condition monitoring system of single screw pump is exploited, the choice and setting of monitoring parameters are studied, then develop the state maintenance function based on condition monitoring and fault prediction. 4. Using GPRS wireless communication mode to realize the remote monitoring of single screw pump, really do run the unattended.5. The monitoring software of host computer is developed with the configuration software WinCC, use OPC Protocol to realize the data exchange between server and client.The test results show that the remote monitoring system of single screw pump reaches the design requirement. The monitoring strategy optimization improves the accuracy of flow control and measurement, greatly reduces the energy consumption and improves the reliability. The application of automation system, improve work efficiency, reduce the labor intensity and operating cost.This topic research makes a beneficial exploration for automation and intelligent development of single screw pump.
