The working principle of plasma burner and its system with devices are introduced combining with the successful application of plasma burner in the two660MW boiler units of ZhongDianTou XinChang power generation Co., Ltd. The whole start-up and shut-down processes of the ignition scene have been followed, and the important parameters in the start-up and shut-down processes have been recorded. The characteristics of wall temperature of plasma burner, by which the safely effects to heating surfaces, mill, primary air duct, are discussed, as well as the effects by the coal to the plasma ignition stability and efficiency. And then according to the application effect of plasma ignition system in XinChang power plant, the economy efficiency and control strategy are analyzed, the technology problems are summarized, and some technology transformation measures are proposed to the operation.
