With the growing demand for electicity in the energy shortage and rapid industrial development of contemporary, The study of saving energy and reducing consumption in power plants is of great significance. The research and development of energy consumption of auxiliary equipment testing system is to monitor and evaluate auxiliary equipment of operation consumption in power plants. And it provides reference for energy-saving alteration and optimization operation of auxiliary equipment.The paper has studied the energy consumption of auxiliary equipment testing system, which contains pumps and fans in power plant. On the basis of characteristic curve of pump and fan and pipeline system, this paper researched the stable operation condition area of pumps and fans. And analysed and evaluated the energy consumption level of pumps and fans when runs in different accommodation mode. Combined with the energy consumption monitoring parameters that are already in power plants, and according to the measurement of pump and fan energy consumption standard, the paper analysed of pump and fan apparatus and method for measuring energy consumption, and proposed the optimization methods for measurement of pump and fan energy consumption. Be based on the optimization method for measuring energy consumption, this paper analysed the hardware and software of pump and fan, and selected the cost-effective hardware. At the same time, considering the hardware requirements, the paper designs a circuit which can measure the signal disposal of parameters. In Lab VIEW language as a development platform, the paper designs the modules of signal disposal, data calculation, results show, and data storage, to realize the development of the energy consumption of auxiliary equipment testing system.According to the designed energy consumption of auxiliary equipment testing system, the paper analyses the instance of induced draft fan speed transformation. Based with the fan test data before the transformation, the paper establishes data gathering documents of energy consumption of auxiliary equipment testing system, applies testing system to measure energy consumption efficiency of variable-speed transformed fan, and contrast with the data after transformation. According to the comparative analysis, the energy consumption testing system fit the field test.
