In recent years, with the continuous growth in demand for electricity and coal resources become increasingly scarce, the supply of coal-fired of thermal power plants are becoming increasingly tense and the coal prices have been rising. For power generation companies, the rise in coal prices increase the production costs of power plants, but the power companies can not arbitrarily to raise electricity prices. Therefore, in the current price forming mechanism of coal and electricity, power generation enterprises are facing greater cost pressures. At the same time, the coal quality is uneven, sources of coal are many kinds, coal quality difference is big, this makes the coal far deviate from design value, if directly put the coal into the furnace to burn, it will produce a very big threat to the safety and economy of thermal power unit operation. The power plant can only actively or passively blended coal combustion. In order to improve the operation and management level of the power generation companies, save energy and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises, it is necessary to establish a unified system for real-time power generation production process of the cost structure, to optimize the power generation companies, including coal procurement, mixing blending and production processes, and enhance the ability of the enterprise to adapt to the market environment.This paper mainly aims at the problems of coal-fired in power plants, using a enterprise-level data platform to integrate the process control information. And on this basis to develop a system to analysis cost of power plant and supply optimal guidance to purching coals. Through this system to monitor the impact of coal prices change, calorific value coal changes, each link cost changes of power generation process on the power generation cost. Give guidance to the power plants on purchasing coal-fired, mix blending and the production process scheme. It has important significance to reduce the cost of generation and improve the economy and safety of operation in power. The software development of this system has been completed and has been put into trial operation now, it has an excellent response and has a certain value in engineering.
